Cravings Fulfilled at Welsh Food Festivals



One of the main attractions of Wales holiday is their food. Thousands of visitors are attracted year after year into various food festivals in the country. Tourists and locals alike are drawn into the blissful celebrations that feature the most delectable dishes in town.

Wales is famed for its rich history, culture and heritage and mouthwatering food. To completely enjoy your Wales holiday with your family and friends, try joining one of these food festivals and fulfill the cravings of your heart and stomach.

Really Wild Festival

The name of the festival speaks for itself. This annual event which happens every 4th and 5th of September at Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and St. Davids is the sole festival in the United Kingdom that features products, food and crafts from the wild. If you choose to spend a portion of your Wales holiday in this celebration, you may join fun-filled games like pig racing and ferret. Also, expect that you will be able to taste recipes from olden times with exotic ingredients. Cooking demonstrations are also witnessed in Really Wild Festival.

Neath Food Fetsival

Neath Food Festival is held every 9th day of October. It is celebrated in 3 different places: Green Street, Neath and West Glamorgan. The first festival occurred last year and with thousands in attendance, this event will now be a yearly feast. During Neath Food Festival, food stalls outside the beautiful Victorian market.

Llangollen Food and Drink

Happening at Abbey Road and Llangollen every 16th and 17th of October, Llangollen Food and Drink. It is considered as one of the most prominent of Wales Food Festival circuit. The event is attended by over a hundred of exhibitors from all over the country and celebrity chefs from all over the world. This festival is not only focused on food alone, but also for beers. Beers from breweries in North Wales and other places within the borders of the country participate in this yearly event. You can also witness here the renowned cider processing.

Mold Food Festival

Mold Food Festival occurs every 25th and 26th of September along Ruthin Road and Mold. It may be unfortunate to have this name, but Mold Food Festival is one of the most applauded celebrations in the town. It showcases produce of nearby areas and towns. Along with live music are cooking demonstration conducted by famous chefs from all over the country.
